Usual second day morning – drive up to campground and get set up. The only difference this time is I'm camped in Mammoth instead of Tower. It has to do with how many days you can stay in a campground before Labor day, so I'm doing some of them here.

After lunch, I drove around and mostly missed stuff. The biggest miss was a wolf battle in the Hayden Valley. Apparently, about an hour before I got there, the Mollies pack invaded the Wapiti Lake's pack territory and there was a big battle that was viewable from the road.

Later, I went to the Lamar Valley and saw one wolf from a distance for a bit. I was too busy keeping it in the scope and letting others look to take any pictures. I did get a photo of an osprey in a tree eating a trout:
